| description | The Marching Cubes algorithm was used so that the model formed was watertight, and so could be 3D printed - a simple stack of extruded 2D frames could have caused problems with some 3d printer slicer software packages. A Stratasys uPrint 3D printer at the Artisan's Asylum, a large makerspace in Somerville, Massachusetts, was used to print the STL model. |
